Hello! I am Chen Chen.

Ph.D., lecturer and master’s supervisor at the College of Metropolitan Transportation, Beijing University of Technology.

Member of the China Society of Automotive Engineers, and member of the Artificial Intelligence Branch of the China Society of Automotive Engineers.

I have led and participated in over 10 projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, key sub-topics of the National Key R&D Program, and provincial/municipal-level scientific and technological programs of Beijing and Chongqing. I am the first or corresponding author of more than 20 research papers published in international journals such as IEEE T-ITS, IEEE ITSM, AAP, and Transportation Research Part F, as well as at domestic and international conferences.

My research encompasses the modeling of driving behaviors, the evaluation of driving risks, trajectory forecasting, and the systematic assessment of autonomous driving systems. I aim to pioneer a novel framework that articulates the perceptual and decision-making mechanisms underpinning human driving, thereby advancing the integration of autonomy with human-centric mobility solutions.

Now, I have made a small step in aspect of the driving risk modeling. A new framework called PODAR (Potential Damage Risk) has been proposed, see my papers published on IEEE T-ITS and IEEE ITSM.
